BROCKTON--Two men suffered gunshot wounds over the weekend after shooters sprayed bullets into two cars in separate incidents at the Tiger’s Den and 7-11.Porfino Silveria, owner of the Tiger’s Den, an Intervale Street bar, was pulled over by police following several calls reporting 10 to 12 gunshots near the bar at about 12:45 a.m. Monday.Reports indicate Silveria was driving and Jerry Andrews, 34, of Brockton, was in the back seat with a gunshot to the groin area.Witnesses identified Silveria’s car as being at the scene and police reported the vehicle was shot full of bullets and has been impounded as evidence.Police said the incident took place near the Tiger Den’s parking lot.Andrews was taken to an area hospital for treatment and Silveria will face citations for not reporting the shooting and the license commission will review the matter.Shawna Devine, a young mother was shot and killed in the same parking lot in 2002 when she got caught in the crossfire of a last-call gun battle. The bar was then called Guido O’Sheas.On the other side of town on Sunday, the morning before, Carlos Andrade, 21, of Brockton, drove to Good Samaritan Hospital after he was shot in the upper torso and thumb while sitting in his 2006 Infiniti SE M35 at the 7-11 parking lot on Belmont Street.Good Samaritan contacted police at 3:02 a.m. to report the shooting.A second call from a witness said two or three men wearing gray and black clothing did the shooting.The caller said the men then drove a dark colored Acura from 7-11 to behind a nearby Shaw’s Supermarket and met others driving a tan Jeep.Andrade is listed in stable condition.It is the second shooting since February at the 7-11 which is near Brockton High School.February 7, a Taunton man, Keith M. Leverone, 19, was killed in the parking lot in a similar way at about the same time. Joao Teixeira, a 20-year-old Brockton man, faces murder charges.

A 22-year-old Massasoit student and Brockton High School graduate was killed Tuesday night after a four-car crash on Torrey Street that may have been caused by racing cars.Police confirmed this morning that Richard Falzone, 22, of Easton, was pronounced dead at the scene.Police are investigating the cause of the accident, but witnesses have said two cars, including one Falzone was driving, were racing on Torrey Street, a long-strip of road between Brockton and Easton notorious for speeders.Two women, described as uninvolved in the race, were seriously injured and trapped in a blue Kia sedan when the car overturned and was crushed.Brockton firefighters removed one woman from the wreck quickly, while the second woman was trapped for about 30 minutes.Both women were transported to Good Samaritan Medical Center.A third man was also taken to a nearby hospital.It is the second fatal crash in Brockton in less than a week.Last Friday Southeastern Regional Technical High School sophomore and Brockton resident Ryan Orcutt was killed when his motorcycle crashed at the intersection of East and Edson streets.
